The Souls and Spirits Return to Their Places

When exactly does the five-element circulation inside the fetus begin to operate?From the moment the fetal spirit enters the mother's body, there is only one soul (the life-soul); at that time there is no heart and no brain, only a life form.After the fetus gradually grows a heart and the small intestine begins to digest, the heart starts to beat, and the mother then provides spiritual power to help the fetus nurture the principal-soul; this process takes at least several months, and at this stage the fetus has only two souls.When the fetus's body is fully developed, it begins to store spiritual power in the heart chakra (the heart).In order to produce the third soul, the fetus must have its brain fully matured and await the arrival of the opening signal (the time of birth).In these ten months, the fetus has already deeply recorded in its cells all the cosmic signals and hereditary signals it has received, like a computer integrating and computing all kinds of incoming messages and producing software and hardware suited to those messages.When the fetus is born, leaves the mother's body and lets out a great cry, the fetus's diaphragm (the muscle that generates electricity in the human body), shaken by the lungs, separates from the heart (originally the fetus's heart and diaphragm were in contact), and in that moment of separation the motor of the body's five-element operation is started.This time of starting we call the birth-time Eight Characters, that is, the moment the five-element operation begins, and the positions of the stars shining at that moment of starting and the fetus's place of birth are precisely the positions of the stars in the layout of the Zi Wei Dou Shu birth chart.The positions where the fetus's organs received the stars, good or bad and in whatever amount, are thereby fixed, as if branded onto every part of the body, setting from then on the angles at which this child receives all the rays of heaven and earth and the degrees to which it favors receiving them, like which side the door of a house opens on and where the windows are: only from a certain angle and position can blessings and misfortunes enter.As for the third soul (the awareness-soul), in the baby's painful, frightened crying it senses the difference (consciousness) of the world outside the mother's body, and quite instinctively the principal-soul sends soul-light up to the brain, the sensing region, and from then on the third soul begins to form (this process takes several months to complete).Driven by the awareness-soul, the fetus's instinct to survive pushes the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind to develop fully and rapidly, and in this process the seven spirits begin to form.The first desire, which begins with the fetus's hunger and wanting to eat (energy is consumed very quickly in growth because of the five-element operation).Children are easily frightened in daily life, and we go to a master to "call back the fright." This is because the child's three souls and seven spirits are not yet fully stable, and the mantras the master murmurs in fact emit a frequency that adjusts and settles the child's souls and spirits.While most people hold a half-believing attitude toward the unseen, it is strange that a frightened child settles down at once and stops crying once the fright is called back.On this point, even the most stubborn skeptics should feel there is some credibility!An old Chinese saying that has been handed down says: "A child under five is a child of Heaven," and the true meaning of this saying is that before the age of five a child's souls and spirits are still fragile and unsettled.
