Fulfilling Beings' Wishes Is the Greatest Practice
📖Master’s Reading
True compassion not only helps others leave suffering but sincerely helps others fulfil their dreams. The truth of the dharmadhātu is: satisfying beings is the greatest practice; fulfilling beings' wishes is the greatest practice. Worldly people are often tormented by lack and desire; in truth, once wishes are fulfilled, there is no more regret or complaint. When beings' lack is filled and their wishes fulfilled, the resentment and grievance within naturally disperse.
Whether kin and friends around us or the karmic creditors of the dharmadhātu, as long as we are willing to open our hearts to accomplish them and let them attain liberation, this is not only benefiting others but the fastest way to dissolve our own karma and obstacles. Among all practices, Green Tārā is the finest for fulfilling beings' wishes. In Tibetan Buddhism, Green Tārā is honored as the wish-fulfilling Tārā and the Tārā of redemption.
She manifests many methods, giving aid to beings' difficulties across wealth, health, relationships and other levels, precisely filling the gaps in beings' lives. When we are willing to become a supporting power in others' lives and do our utmost to fulfil beings' wishes, we practice the bodhisattva path. Help others fulfil their dreams, and the dharmadhātu naturally fulfils our wishes; what is finally accomplished is often ourselves too.
