Beings Are Your Mirror

📖Master’s Reading

The world is a projection of the inner mind, and the running of the cosmos is a law of relativity. The truth of the dharmadhātu is: the cosmos is a reflecting motion — whatever you throw out finally runs back to you. Cause and effect, put plainly, is a mirror's reflecting motion. As you smile at a mirror, the you inside naturally smiles back; when we are willing to treat others well selflessly, this goodwill finally returns to ourselves.

Between beings and us there was never a one-way relationship. The secret of life's resonance is: when you send out the mind to benefit beings, beings will surely benefit you; conversely, when you loathe beings, beings loathe you — this is called relativity. It is not a worldly trade of interests but the inevitability of cosmic cause and effect. If we always keep benefiting beings in mind, the positive frequency we emit draws immeasurable good echoes.

Beings are like a mirror, precisely reflecting our inner self. Complaining that the world is cold is perhaps forgetting to first give warmth. True practice is actively becoming a source that shines and radiates heat. When you selflessly benefit others and throw compassion to the cosmos, the dharmadhātu and beings grant you endless good connection. When our heart moves toward the great self and passes blessing outward, the cosmos becomes our mightiest backing.
