Only Those with a Mission Fall
📖Master’s Reading
Many see failure as a stain on life and blame fate for toying with them. But from the view of practice, failure is not punishment; it is the gateway to awakening and to mission.
One without a task comes into the world like a passer-by, taking their fill of brief pleasure and departing with their karma; but one who bears a special task comes to learn and to be trained. If you meet great adversity in this life, do not lose heart — it means you are carrying a deeper lesson of life.
Life must first let you meet setback, so that in adversity you learn the way of transformation. Without the pain of failure, how would one know the preciousness of success? One who rises again from the abyss will not repeat the same mistake. When you pass through these hardships, you become worthy in the future to be a "teacher" to others, guiding those who suffer to leave suffering and find happiness.
So never deny yourself over a single fall. The most painful thing you have experienced is precisely the weakness the soul most needs to train. Face the gap bravely and mend it, turning weakness into strength. What seems the greatest harm in life will in the end become a stepping-stone toward success. Setback is sculpting you into a more powerful guide.
