The Guru Rinpoche Wealth-Deity · Replenishing-the-Treasury Puja is presided over jointly by Urgyen Topden Rinpoche and Master Pema Gyalpo, invoking the blessing of Guru Rinpoche and the wealth-deity, repairing the treasury of fortune and praying for flourishing prosperity; you may register through a guided conversation on our official LINE and register family members together.

Puja Information

Time: Saturday, 18 July, 2:00 p.m.
Presiding masters: Urgyen Topden Rinpoche and Master Pema Gyalpo.
Place: Vajrayāna Urgyen Fahsilin Buddhist Association.

Taking Part in the Treasury-Replenishing Practice

Option A: Replenish one share of the treasury, NT$3,600.
Option B: Let the master determine the number of shares to replenish (first share NT$3,600; each additional share from the second onward NT$3,000).

Vajra benefactor: sponsor NT$10,000 (gift: Yellow Jambhala amulet).
Lotus benefactor: sponsor NT$30,000 (gift: Yellow Jambhala keyring amulet).
Śākyamuni benefactor: sponsor NT$50,000 (gift: a wealth-deity Guru Rinpoche treasure-vase).

Order of the Puja

1. For those with special needs, the master will examine on site and advise us of the state of our treasury (checked a few days in advance).
2. The wealth-deity practice — cultivating wealth and replenishing the treasury.

Lamp offering: small NT$300, large NT$500.
Smoke-offering powder: small NT$300, large NT$600.
Flower offering: NT$500.
Dedication mantra-wheel: NT$500.

A Warm Reminder

Because preparation is required, those who wish to take part are asked to register early.
On the day of the puja, you are welcome to bring offerings for the wealth-deity and the buddhas!
If you cannot attend in person, we can arrange it for you with your photo and birth details, and will send back the master's video of the examination of your treasury box, together with the puja video.

Merits & Benefits of the Wealth-Deity Practice

By praying sincerely before the deity and diligently reciting its mantra (which becomes efficacious only when transmitted by the master), and by long practising compassion, joy and generosity to benefit all beings, one receives the wealth-deity's protection: harmony and peace for the whole family, success and great expansion in one's work, and the fulfilment of wishes for prosperity, with blessings following like a shadow. It brings beings worldly accomplishment — freeing them from poverty, illness and want, increasing favourable conditions, bringing success in one's work and the fulfilment of wishes for wealth, and increasing merit, long life, wisdom, and all enjoyment both spiritual and material.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between replenishing one treasury and replenishing several?

We may decide to replenish one share at NT$3,600, or let the Rinpoche determine it after examining. If the Rinpoche examines, he might tell you, for example, that you need to replenish two treasuries, or three, depending on the severity and the merit that needs to be replenished.

Once replenished, does it need replenishing again?

Replenishing the treasury box more fully means replenishing more merit; it also means replenishing energy and fortune — like eating each day, since we are consuming each day. Through the wealth-deity practice, one can replenish wealth and also long life, strengthen prosperity, and add to our fortune and merit.

If merit is insufficient and great wealth arrives, what happens?

If merit is insufficient and great wealth arrives, one tends to fall ill. When merit is lacking, the treasury is mostly small or broken; when great wealth comes, it cannot be contained, and may even burst the treasury box, so that the wealth cannot be enjoyed — and there may even be concern for one's life.

Is the treasury related to lifespan?

If the outer treasury box bursts open, it is also a warning of life's end; so replenishing the treasury also carries the meaning of replenishing and lengthening life.

Does the energy of a practice already performed disappear?

The energy of a practice already performed does not disappear; it is all recorded within the practices we have done across many lifetimes, and merit is sometimes replenished from there — so please do not worry.
