During the seventh lunar month, Fahsilin establishes the "Longchen Nyingtik · Great Compassion Avalokiteśvara Self-Liberation" Great Liberation Puja in Zhubei, Hsinchu. The master specially practises the Great Compassion Self-Liberation sādhana, dedicating liberation to ancestors, the parents of many lifetimes, karmic creditors, unborn children, pets, earth-lords and other connected beings, and praying for present devotees to be blessed, freed of obstacles, and granted peace in the home. You are welcome to register online; those unable to attend may register by bank transfer, and after the puja we will send photos and video.

The Great Compassion Self-Liberation sādhana.
Great Compassion Liberation for the deceased · the Path of Liberation of the Noble Ones.
The sādhana of pure smoke-clouds pervading the pure land.
Dedication verses and dedication smoke-offering.

Liberation & Blessing Categories

1. Lotus-tablet for ancestors of all generations.
2. Lotus-tablet for an individual departed relative.
3. Lotus-tablet for karmic creditors.
4. Lotus-tablet for the earth-lord.
5. Lotus-tablet for an unborn child.
6. Lotus-tablet for a pet.
7. Averting misfortune and blessing for a company, and liberating the karmic creditors of the enterprise.

Benefits

Dedicating liberation to ancestors, parents and kin who have fallen into the lower realms or the hells, and to karmic creditors of many lifetimes, so that they gain benefit and ease in the realm of their rebirth.
Summoning lost and helpless beings of the bardo, so that they hear the Dharma, are liberated, and take rebirth in a buddha's pure land.
Through smoke, water and fire offerings, allowing devotees' long-entangling karmic creditors to hear the teaching, be freed of obstacles, and take rebirth.
Blessing all in a devotee's household with the highest benefit of the Dharma — increasing merit, wisdom and enjoyment, purifying beginningless misdeeds, dispelling illness-karma, lengthening life, and calming the four great disasters.

Deities of the Practice (Ten Deities)

Principal deity: Great Compassion Self-Liberation Avalokiteśvara.
Family lords: Amitābha; White Tārā (dispelling fear); the Radiant-Light Goddess / Mārīcī (dispelling harm, increasing merit); Kurukullā (mastery over phenomena, increasing fortune and joy); Vasudhārā (increasing wealth and enjoyment).
The four wrathful ones: the Hayagrīvas of the four families in the four directions (east, south, west, north).
Accomplishing the four activities: pacifying (removing obstacles and purifying karma), enriching (increasing merit, wisdom, wealth and long life), magnetizing (bringing enemies, harm and afflictions under control), and wrathful action (destroying greed, hatred, delusion and the obstacles of ignorance).

Voluntary Offerings

Lamp offering: small NT$300 / large NT$500.
Flower offering: NT$600.
Smoke-offering powder: small NT$300 / large NT$600.
Mantra-wheel: small NT$500 / large NT$1,000.
Ingot incense: small NT$400 / large NT$600.
Handmade "gold and silver mountains," NT$2,200 a set (gold ingots wrapped with gold paper, silver ingots with silver paper, folded by hand by a teacher trained by the Rinpoche — unlike the ordinary kind).
Voluntary sponsorship of the puja and offerings is also welcome.

For the deceased, please note the date of birth or of passing and the name of the surviving family member; if there is a special dedication, please note it when registering.
Photos and video will be sent after the puja; volunteers are also welcome (preparation, assistance during the puja, and tidying the venue).

About the Longchen Nyingtik · Avalokiteśvara Self-Liberation

The Longchen Nyingtik is one of the most important "heart-essence" Dzogchen cycles of the Nyingma school, revealed by the master Jigme Lingpa from a ḍākinī treasure and transmitted from the wisdom heart-drop of Longchenpa. The "Great Compassion Avalokiteśvara Self-Liberation" unites the generation and completion stages and finally points directly to the nature of mind — the practitioner's own mind is primordially pure, and observing all illusory appearances within the practice, one is liberated on the spot; the form of Avalokiteśvara and the sound of recitation naturally dissolve into emptiness, and without deliberately rejecting thoughts, whatever arises is itself the path of liberation. This teaching leads directly to the view of Dzogchen.

For whom may this Liberation Puja dedicate liberation?

It may dedicate liberation to ancestors, the parents of many lifetimes, departed relatives, karmic creditors, unborn children, pets, earth-lords and other connected beings, and may also avert misfortune for a company and liberate the karmic creditors of the enterprise.

How is the tablet offering calculated?

It is divided into Vajra-family (small tablet) NT$3,000, Lotus-family (medium tablet) NT$5,000, and Buddha-family (large tablet) NT$10,000; this applies to each category.
